Africa is connecting its markets, people and opportunities \u2014 building a continent where borders become less of a barrier to trade, travel and shared prosperity.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Africa is home to 55 countries, each with its own borders, laws, currencies and markets. But the continent is increasingly working toward something bigger: an Africa where its people and economies can work more closely together.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the vision behind Agenda 2063 Moonshot 2: An Integrated Africa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The goal is to make it easier for Africans to trade, travel, work, invest and do business across the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One market, more opportunities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A major part of this vision is the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AfCFTA aims to create a single African market for goods and services, bringing together countries across the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why does this matter?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A small business in Ghana should have the opportunity to sell to customers in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, Kenya or Nigeria. A farmer should be able to reach buyers beyond their immediate border. An African manufacturer should be able to expand into other African markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A larger market means more potential customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It can also encourage businesses to grow, create jobs and compete with companies from outside the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Connecting the continent<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Trade cannot grow without the infrastructure to support it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Africa needs better roads, railways, ports, airports and digital networks to move people, goods and information more efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cross-border digital payments are also becoming increasingly important as African businesses and consumers trade online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But integration is not only about goods and money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also about people<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Making movement easier<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For many Africans, travelling to another African country can still involve visas, paperwork and high costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A more integrated Africa would make it easier for Africans to move for work, education, business and tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This could unlock opportunities for millions of young people, entrepreneurs and professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building the Africa We Want<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Integration will not happen overnight. Countries still face differences in infrastructure, policies, regulations and levels of economic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the direction is clear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Africa is building stronger connections between its people and economies.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moonshot 2 is ultimately about turning those connections into opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When African countries trade more with one another, move more easily and build together, the continent becomes stronger \u2014 not as 55 separate markets, but as one African economic community.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is the promise of an integrated Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One continent. Connected markets. Shared
