President Ruto emphasized that “Africa is not waiting for external prescriptions,” pointing to bold steps toward creating homegrown financial institutions like the African Central Bank and funding continental infrastructure with local resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
President Mahama reinforced this drive for economic sovereignty by dismantling the traditional foreign aid model. Criticizing setups where distant donor capitals retain authority over how local health and development projects are managed, Mahama asserted a clear principle: “No Ownership Without Control.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
