We have spent the last series asking a simple but important question: What does the Africa We Want actually look like?
Through the seven Aspirations of Agenda 2063, we explored the continent’s vision for a peaceful, prosperous, integrated and people-driven Africa.
But a vision is only the beginning.
The harder question is: How boldly are we prepared to think to make that vision real?
That is where this new series begins.
Africa’s Moonshots takes us beyond explaining Agenda 2063 and into the realm of possibility. We will explore ten bold bets that could fundamentally change Africa’s future—from becoming a global space power and ending energy poverty, to feeding itself, building industries, harnessing artificial intelligence and unlocking the economic power of its oceans.
These are not predictions. They are possibilities.
Some may sound ambitious. Others may seem impossible today. But every great transformation begins with someone willing to ask, “Why not?”
Africa has the people, resources, markets, creativity and knowledge to think bigger about its future.
The question is whether we will turn that potential into action.
