What Is Africa’s Big Dream? Meet the Seven Aspirations of Agenda 2063

Imagine an Africa where every child has a future, young people have opportunities, countries trade freely, and peace becomes a reality across the continent.

That is the vision behind Agenda 2063 — “The Africa We Want.”

Agenda 2063 is Africa’s long-term development blueprint. At its heart are seven aspirations that guide the continent’s journey towards prosperity, unity and sustainable development.

🌍 Aspiration 1: A prosperous Africa based on inclusive growth and sustainable development.

🌍 Aspiration 2: An integrated Africa, united through trade, infrastructure and free movement.

🌍 Aspiration 3: An Africa of good governance, democracy, human rights and the rule of law.

🌍 Aspiration 4: A peaceful and secure Africa.

🌍 Aspiration 5: An Africa with a strong cultural identity, shared values and heritage.

🌍 Aspiration 6: An Africa whose development is driven by its people, especially women and young people.

🌍 Aspiration 7: Africa as a strong, united and influential global partner.

These aspirations are more than words. They are a roadmap guiding policies, programmes and actions across the continent.

Which aspiration do you think is most important for Africa’s future?
